This rates right at the top of my "Cool and scary" list. NASA has used 80 personal computers, using artificial intelligence (AI), and combined their silicon brains to quickly design a tiny, advanced space antenna.
The fact that it only took 10 hours to come up with the highly efficient antenna is cool. The fact that computers are now starting to design computers? That's sorta trippy. Reminds me of the Terminator. Of course, this is a long way from that.
