I walked into the breakroom at lunch today, and the news was talking about the Oklahoma Lottery again and it got me to thinking.
What does the news report about? Bad things that happen. Military personnel killed in Iraq, murders, rapes, wild fires, scandal's, etc.
Occasionally, you'll hear of something good that's happened. But only rarely.
The lottery however seems to be in the news a lot. So, using the news and what they report, then there is no way that the lottery can be a good thing.
People listen to the news and go out and buy lottery tickets, I've never seen anyone run out and volunteer to be killed, robbed, or raped.
Go figure.
