My son has FINALLY learned to tie his shoes.
It only took a girl that was a year younger than him to tie his shoes to make him do it, but I'm not going to argue why he learned, just that he finally learned!

What you say is correct girls pick up thing fast than the boys and even my kid look his time on it though he has a huge collection Infants Athletic Shoes.
